MAJORITY LEADER HOYER TRAVELS TO 103 DISTRICTS TO EXPAND THE MAJORITY

WASHINGTON - House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (MD) has traveled around the country this cycle in an effort to help expand the Democratic Majority.  Hoyer has traveled to 37 states and 103 Congressional districts to support incumbents and top Democratic candidates.  This cycle he has traveled over 80,000 miles, spending 94 days on the road in spreading the Democratic message.
 
Leader Hoyer has also been a strong financial supporter of Democrats.  He has given over $1.5 million directly to House Members and candidates, $1.3 million directly to the DCCC, $70,000 to Senate candidates and another $775,000 to Democratic state parties and elected officials, for a total of over $3.6 million in direct contributions.  He has also raised money through events around the country.  Hoyer has raised over $5.6 million for Democratic House Members and candidates, and another $4.3 million for the DCCC for a total of $10 million raised for Democrats.  All told Hoyer has given and raised a total of more then $13.6 million for Democrats.
